Quote for thought:

"The quickest way to receive love is to give. The fastest way to lose love is to hold too tightly; The best way to keep love is to give it wings."

Strength. Ideas. Music.

"I think I should have no other mortal wants, if I could always have plenty of music. It seems to infuse strength into my limbs and ideas into my brain. Life seems to go on without effort, when I am filled with music. "- George Eliot

Not only is the author of this quote an inspiration, SHE is also a radical role model. In order to have her work accepted in a male dominant society and to escape the stereotypical ideals that women only are capable of writing lighthearted romances in the 1800’s Mary Anne Evans took a male pen name.

Back to the quote, I think she describes the power and importance of music brilliantly. For me music has the ability to drastically change a mood, an opinion, even one’s life. As she says it, life is simple when you have music.

Listen. Song of the week.

"I feel so numb to see this bitter end of beautiful illusions... would this be the same"

Introverted extrovert

She thought it was classic.
He made her feel alive
With each lingering embrace she quickly went from an introvert to a gregarious luminary.
But the flux made her poignant
Made her question her situation
left with the decision to be alone and certain
or accompanied and ambiguous.

Food For the Taste

Initially when I thought about Indian food, I thought it was going to be nothing less than an unpleasant meal. Swallowing my stereotypical ideals, I tried a range of Indian food. To my surprise the chicken had more flavor than any BBQ’d chicken I have tasted (even though I stopped eating meat a year ago I made an exception – when in “India” right). The vegetables were seasoned deliciously, having a little flavor and spice, but nothing too exuberant. Also, the perfect accomplice to this unique food is Indian beer. A glass of Taj Mahal went perfectly with the food, as it cleansed the palette and allowed you to experience the full flavor of each dish. Stepping out of the norm and having a unique dining experience is definitely something I recommend trying, to say the least you can feel a little cultured.
