Goodbye, #TBT

Recently, I made the conscious decision to stop looking at the past and focus on the future and what happiness it may hold. I deleted the popular app "Timehop"  to stop being reminded of what my life was like and what I was doing over the past seven years (well, the past seven years according to social media).

Living in the past and constantly observing others are the two main factors that prevent one from being truly happy. So in the new year, I am going to make a conscious effort to stop looking back.

What happened in the past shouldn't define you, hold you back, make you sad or leave you with regret; The past should merely serve as lessons learned and present opportunities for improvement.

But let's not forget the good, the past can hold some of the most cherished and happy moments. Keep those in your memory, remember them and honor them but do not dwell on them. Instead, let's continue creating those feelings from those moments in the future

So this Thursday and everything Thursday thereafter, I won't participate in a #TBT; Instead, I will be looking ahead.
